Hotel Renovation

Project Overview

This commercial renovation project brought new life to eight aging hotel units that were well past due for a comprehensive update. What began as a straightforward refresh quickly evolved into a deeper structural and systems overhaul, addressing decades of wear and layers of short-term fixes by various maintenance teams.

The Challenge

The original condition of the units included:

• Dated carpet

• Poorly patched walls and layers of old paint

• Leaking shower valves

• Exhaust fans that no longer vented properly

• Electrical work that had been modified unsafely over the years

Once we opened the walls, it became clear that previous makeshift repairs had created electrical hazards that required immediate correction.

The Renovation

Our scope of work touched every surface and system in these guest units:

• Flooring: We replaced outdated carpet with modern, durable flooring suited for high-use hospitality environments.

• Bathrooms: All shower trims were replaced, and new fans were installed to improve ventilation and moisture control.

• Electrical: Unsafe and outdated wiring was replaced, bringing each unit up to current safety codes and providing stable, efficient service for lighting, outlets, and new fixtures.

• Finishes: Walls were repaired and prepped for new paint and wallpaper, giving each space a fresh, cohesive aesthetic.

• Furniture Prep: Structural wall backing was added to support new floating nightstands and upgraded furniture, allowing for cleaner lines and easier maintenance in each room.

• Lighting: Vanities received modern, backlit mirrors—offering both function and an elevated guest experience.
  

Results

The renovated units now provide a significantly upgraded guest experience, with improved safety, comfort, and aesthetics. This project not only addressed deferred maintenance but also positioned the hotel to remain competitive in the local hospitality market.
